Blood glucose (BG) measurement is critical for many to ensure optimal diabetes control especially for people using insulin or similar agents that can cause hypoglycaemia. Testing BG can for many, be mandatory in relation to driving etc. For many people however, testing of BG does not help and there is evidence that it can even cause harmful anxiety. There is a wide variation in the practice of BG testing and in order to minimise this we have produced guidance on 'Who to test, When to test'. Please click on the link to download this guidance.
