York Diabetes & Endocrine Services

We run a patient centred service for adults and teenagers transitioning from paediatric services. The services we offer include:

  • General Outpatient clinics in Diabetes, Endocrinology, Metabolic Disorders, Weight Management and General Medicine
  • Joint Thyroid Service
  • Transition Clinic for children with diabetes
  • Antenatal and Pre-conception counselling services
  • Diabetes, Renal and Hypertension Service
  • Insulin Pump Service (adults and children)
  • Diabetes Psychology
  • High Risk Foot Service
  • Diabetes Dietetic Services
  • Structured Education programmes for people with newly diagnosed Type 2 diabetes (Good2Go), those with Type 1 diabetes (BITES), Insulin pump therapy and Insulin skills workshop

The busy outpatient department based on the York Hospital main site, is open from Monday to Friday delivering a number of specialist clinics and services including, specialist diabetes clinics in renal, insulin pump therapy, weight management joint vascular, diabetes foot service and all of our structured education programmes are delivered on and off site.
